What is a blank planchet quarter worth?

AnkurJAnkurJ Posts: 11,370 ✭✭✭✭
A friend of mine found a blank plancet for a quarter in a roll the other day. The rims are present, but the reverse and obverse are blank. Any ideas?

As we know, errors can be "valued" and "priced"
very differently by collectors and dealers alike,
and they don't always agree with
    "conventional wisdom".

With errors, many times the value of an error coin
is in the eye of the beholder,l because they've
    'never seen one like this'.

However, if you pay more than $4-$5 for 'em,
    your paying too much.

I have them on my website at $5 each, and I
pay for all postage fees too......

Or, I have about 1,500 of them in stock, and
you can take me out at $3.50 for the lot.......

I would never debate Fred Weinberg on the authenticity or value of an error coin. He has been doing this and well I might add for 40 years, and he knows the subject backwards and forwards.
