Assistance please - someone with the Breen bible available

Would you please let me know what Breen says about the 1908-D dime RPD 3567. I would like to know if he describes in detail the characteristics of the repunched date.
Thanks!

Here is the lot as it appeared at Heritage. Their photos aren't the most revealing due to the toning.
Sale 26013 Lot 11323
Not sure of the population now, but I believe it was the finest known for a long time at least.

<< <i>edit deleted by someone: the fact is that Mr Breen was a convicted felon who went to prison for alleged acts of perophilia. The fact is DR. William Sheldon was a convicted felon, but served no time for taking coins from the ANS collection (conviction1997). Dr. Sheldon's photos of over 20,000 necked childen and young adluts are on file at the UNited States Natural History Museum, Smithisonan Institution. Neither was involved in "bible" research to my knowledge >>
Bet they both would have enjoyed studying MadMarty's weenie coins!!!
Coxe, your link to Heritage is exactly the coin I was inquiring about. I own that one now and it is a beauty.
A low grade example is identified in the new Cherrypickers Guide (FS-10-1908D-307) which states the low grade example pictured is the only one known. What a nice surprise to find I have a pretty scarce variety and the highest graded known!

Not alleged, he was convicted of Pediphillia and was on parole from his first conviction when he was arrested on a second pediphillia charge. I don't know if he was convicted of the second charge bu he was sent to prison due to the parole violation to serve out the sentence from the first conviction.

As far as I know Sheldon was never convicted of anything and he had been dead fro twenty years at the time of the conviction listed. I believe that date refers to the Naftzger (sp) hearing on the coins from his collection that the ANS claimed.

The Sheldon photographs were destroyed long ago when it was discovered that the First Ladies pictures were among them. At first they just restricted access to "legitimite researchers" but then finally decided to go ahead and destroyed the photos in 2001.
<< <i>Thanks for the information everyone.

I thought I bought that one back. Glad a good collector managed to get it. I owned it for about 11 years and it wasn't appreciated enough in my collection. Lost a little bit on the sale based on the selling price. But I did quite well on other lots. Glad you enjoy the coin!
BTW, the coins I consigned to Heritage for their January sales included many rare, finest known and unique discovery pieces. It was a cherypickers opportunity. I got out of seated minors and shield nickels for the most part only keeping a handful of dimes and half dimes. Probably should have waited for the new edition of the cherrypickers gude to hit the street and get distributed widely first.
