Brought it home from the safe box, to decide whether I wanted to sell it. I try to make this a habit these days. Well, this is a tough one. So, instead of putting it back in the box, I sent it to mgoodm3 to shoot it again. I believe he nailed it. It also has very nice/flashy cartwheel luster as well.
Yeah I know, if it weren't for that "beauty" mark on the cheek. No matter on this one IMO. For your viewing pleasure. These are sooooo tough to find nice.

Lovely coin and photo. The problem with having mgoodm3 photographing a coin of your is that you like the coin even more when he is done with it. I am betting that you are no longer interested in selling it...

Yes, he does a very nice job. He imaged it for me way back. I haven't seen it in good light for a long time. Just at the bank.
I say it's the "ugly duckling" of my 1807's because most others ones aren't colorful, are in XF-40-45 and lower. To be honest, prices tempt me to sell it, but alas, it's not going anywhere....... now.

Outstanding photos, outstanding coin. That thin trail of shadow along the profile of the faces on the obv. and rev. leads the eye down to some spectacular numerals on both sides. Its like I don't know where to rest my gaze... thanks for sharing.

really nice coin, the "cindy crawford" on the cheek makes it seem fully original... if someone was going to mess with it, certainly the first thing they'd do is rub that spot, just a little bit...

I think you should remove that ugly coin pic so I don't have to lay my eyes on it again. I am experiencing too much anxiety over not having it in my collection...along with a whole bunch of others!!!

Wanted to thank all for the nice comments. It's a special coin for the date, and I don't say that too often. Before I bought this, and since, I've not seen it's equal in this condition. Which makes it tough to sell when I think about it. The prices these are going for, I know I'd not be able to own one like it, if one ever came available. Most of my 1807 Turban half collection are tougher varieties. This is the "common" O-112 large stars 50/inverted 5.
Truthfully, my favorite one is a large stars O-114 (that I bought raw) and is now in pcgs xf-45 that is not colorful. Well, not what most consider colorful.
