Plastic Sheets . . .

anyone still use these?

Where would be the best place to purchase?

What is the best brand?

I remember a few years ago, collectors complained that their plastic sheets were "eating" or damaging their cards.

I'd like to actually look at and enjoy some of the sets I've completed over the years!

Get non acidic ones. There are lots of places to buy them.

All cards should be stored away and never exposed to albums, displays, any other type of enjoyment. Actually you should not look at them with the human eye.....

I have all my heritage sets in pro sheets. I put the more expensive cards in penny sleeves. Actually all the SP's are in penny
sleeves. I think they look really nice. You can get 100 for 15 bucks or less. These sheets are much improved over the old
ones which would yellow and do who knows what to the cards!

    Good Luck

  • I buy my CS I's from Columbia Sports Cards on eBay and if I remember correctly they had just about everything as far as supplies goes. I'd check them out and see. I'm very pleased with the service and prices from them.

I've had binders filled with thousands of cards sitting in my closet for at least 10 years and they're in the same condition now as they were when I put them in the pages. The brand of the pages I have are UltraPro.

It's ironic you mention plastic sheets, I was just going through a 74 Football set I won on E-bay earlier this week, Taking them out of the old plastic sheets and binder they were in. When a name from the past jumped out at me, ENOR, I hadnt heard that name in twenty years, I remeber that back in the day they were some pretty good sheets.
Anyway, Now I mostly store my sets in Ultra Pro Platinum.

Oh YES, when I was in college and started buying my complete sets, I would order Ultra-Pro (or sometimes BCW) pages and Ultra-Pro binders by the CASE because all my sets would go in sheets/binders so I can look through them as much as I want without worrying about damaging the cards by doing so (I currently have at least 60 or so binders full so far). Not to mention they make neat displays for your complete sets. Now I just need to find a good bookcase to hold them all. I hope there's still a good place (haven't checked out that Columbia website yet) that lets me buy them by the case at wholesale prices. I'll need about a case of pages (1000 pages) and a case and a half (18) of Ultra-Pro binders. I'm working on getting several basic complete sets from the mid-90s (especially Fleer and Ultra) as well as trying to get all the Fleer and Ultra insert sets from 1992-95. Last night I was going through my binder that's got 1994 Fleer (11/12) and 1994 Ultra (10/14) insert sets. image

And let me tell you, going through my 1993 Finest set in the binder/pages and seeing all those beautiful shiny cards is a lot of fun. image
