35 Degree Crazy Weather for the World Series

Crazy to play in such cold weather. The owners should shorten the season but the cheapo bustards would never do it. How can the pitchers get a good grip on the ball and the hitters on the bat in this weather? Oh, yeah, pine tar for both. LOL

    They'll never change it. The extra round of baseball playoffs means more money so it's here to stay.

    I am not saying to get rid of the extra round of playoffs. If anything make the 1st round 7 games also but shorten the darn season. But they would never do it because of greed.

    Eliminate the first round of the playoffs. Baseball was much more exciting when teams had to battle it out to win their division for a playoff spot, TWO playoff spots per league.

    There's no reason to shorten the season.

    There's no reason to shorten the playoffs.

    All they need to do is play more day night double headers during the regular season, and this never becomes an issue.

    Shortening the season or eliminating a playoff round just won't happen because they'll lose money. You know how MLB operates.

    Shorten the season and you'll have less revenue to pay for players, so they'll lose too.

    There's no need to shorten the season...either play more doubleheaders or start the season a week or 2 sooner.

    Can't speak for the rest of the country, but you can't start any earlier in Chicago unless they want to play in the snow. It's actually nicer this time a year then it is the last week in March and first week in February. We had snow 2 weeks ago, weather is always a crap shoot around here in October. One year we had 8 inches of snow on May 1st.

    Yeah, and Minnesota wanted an open air stadium.

    Hey, and the weather isn't always bad in October......just this year. We went straight from summer to winter.
