Cert number on Mercury Dime rattler slab doesn't match verification page.

I won this Mercury Dime but when I went to enter it in my registry set I received an error. I checked out the verification page and look what the verification page shows. Everything about the slab appears to be original so I guess we'll see what PCGS has to say.

You probably already know this, but
I just learned this morning about the
problem PCGS had with their 'Rattler'
holders being counterfeited. I was
directed to conder101's post of the
past, and learned, among other
things that you can tell a holder
that has been counterfeited by the
position of the "I" in SERVICE on
the Back, and it's relation to the
word GRADING.

If the "I" in SERVICE is under the
right curve of the letter "D" in
GRADING, it is a fake. The "I"
must be close to the center of
the space between the "D" and
"I" in GRADING.

If you already knew this, it's ok,
because I wanted to hear it again
myself!!

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that these rattler's were ever counterfeited. I checked out the link you provided and I'm 90% certain that the holder is not a counterfeit. I think it's a typo in the PCGS system but we'll see what they say.

Weird, since no one would counterfiet a 1940-D Merc....

Looks legit to me.
