    Hey, no one ever said I wasn't an anal retentive perfectionist. image I just really don't like the way the French pieces came out. The color is wrong, the images are too dark, and for me at least, shots of gold *always* look far more beat up than in hand... much moreso than silver for some reason. I need to work on reimaging them...

    Thanks, CoinPix! I really love this piece, and it was hand-selected from a famous Eastern European auction a number of years back. It's hard to find early gold which is unbent, unscratched, unmolested, etc. I love the full cameo effect and mirror surfaces on this coin.

    But kudos go to Mac for bringing out the beauty in an image I could only dream about achieving.

    Although not made of gold, this game counter is gold-plated, and some say it was made in England, so it qualifies as Darkside. Current Heritage Auction My token will be for sale too in the not too distant future; I just have to get it slabbed first.
