Howdy got out for the first time in a week... gotn lots o' modern bullets and this dime.. got a barber dime and I got this medal ID'd also its an 1838 Temperance Medal This medal seems to have been associated with the Temperance movement in Ireland:
"The Cork Total Abstinence Society, Father Mathew, President, had a Medal. It framed the words of the pledge in the shape of a broad cross: 'I promise to abstain from all intoxicating drinks except used medicinally and by order of a medical man and to discountenance the cause and practice of intemperance.'"
