Wanting to know if it is a good idea to buy this from him

Should I go ahead and buy or am I setting myself up to get disappointed with a raw card. The problem is, shows are getting harder to find. Even when one finds a show, its hard to find these cards out on display because the dealer left them home since he figured they are worthless.
Is the other alternative to go on BST on the CU boards? I can potentially run into problems there too--maybe.

I don't want a PSA condition gaurantee, just a card that looks NM/M+. I don't plan on sending these cards in immediately anyway--I just don't have these cards at all except of the Topps Boggs rookie.

I know what you mean, but some PSA 9's have centering that way. I never owned this card so I will worry more about getting a GEM later on. This is very good assuming the corners and edges are sharp.
