Mastro Auctions Low

Some nice auctions still low on Mastro. Especially some of the backetball.
EX. 1976 Topps basketball set completely graded PSA 8 and PSA 9 for under 10.00 dollars a card ???
Well they are not over yet but looks like there are going to be some deals to be had.
If i didn't already have this set i might have bid on this one !!
PS. I just punched in my last card #128 for this set in PSA 9. Now i can say it is complete in ALL PSA 9 or better !!

  • Well bidding is in to extended play. If prices stay the way they are alot of basketball and hockey is going to go cheap.
Don't know about baseball because i don't collect it !!
    What do you guys think?

The site went down, as the regular bidding came to a close. I was unable to get a few last second bids in.

But, the lots I did bid on are not in any way, shape, or form going "cheap". I wish they were. People love to overpay in this auction. I just try and hang on for whatever someone doesn't want to overpay for.

Small example - there's a 1985 Topps sealed rack case currently at $630 + 17.5% = $740.25 (plus shipping). Steve Hart has the same item, sealed as well, on his site right now for $575. And, I'll bet the Mastro case goes up one bid further before it closes.

nothing I"m looking at is remotely near "cheap" and hasn't been for over a week.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • You guys must be refering to the baseball which i know little about. When you can buy tallboys for under 10.00 dollars graded only PSA 8 and PSA 9 then that is cheap.
1934 Carreras "Film Stars" PSA Set Registry Complete Set (72) and 1935 Gallaher "Film Episodes" Complete Sets (2)
This set is also going to go cheap if the bids stay where they are. I don't own anything like this set but the cards are in awesome condition for the age. I think it would take alot of cards to get graded to put this set together for a non sports set.

I don't know why anyone would consign post '70 cards or sets to Mastro. Not the market they cater to.

Because they still get amazingly higher returns than eBay does.
  • In addition Mastros over grades the raw cards in their auctions.
