Need Help 1879 SHIELD 5c Proof Different double date

Hi, Anyone know the rarity and value for a 1879 Shield 5c Proof . PCGS PR65 . tape on the holder said Rare different double date triple 8. The double date is bold clear easy to see. Sorry me and my camera tried to get the picture of the double date but this is the best I could do. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

    1879 proofs with repunched dates are not rare. There should be hundreds available out of a total yearly mintage of over 3000.

    I have one of these too. Often they will show a great deal of ejection (strike) doubling in addition to the repunched date. Here's a photo of mine:

    The repunching is west. The ejection doubling is east.

    My coin is a F (Fletcher) -01. Since you said you have a tripled 8, your coin may be a different variety F-04.
