OK boys and girls lets start horesetrading so we can all end up with matched (69 or 70) ASE/AGE anniversary sets. Remember, you will probably have to trade at least two coins so both parties can get closer to a matching set and to keep an equal number of type coins.
Rules:
1. Ya gotta give up a good one to get a good one, with both parties getting closer to a matched set.
2. Ya gotta honor your end of the deal. Work out the deal with a PM, lets keep the thread down to just what we have to offer!
3. When your offer has been taken, have the courtesy to edit your post saying "order filled"
I'll go first, here's what I've got to trade:
My First Strike MS69 for your First Strike MS68 (you win)
and My First Strike PR68DC for your First Strike PR69DC (I win)
THIS ORDER HAS BEEN FILLED

Trying to match the set: 3-70's
will trade FS 20thPR 69dcam for FS 20th PR68dcam
Do you agree or disagree?
1) I think the difference in trading a MS68 for MS69 vs a PR69DCAM for PR68DCAM is next to nothing. This is a good trade to make if both parties agree and can piece together 69 sets.
2) Trading the other coins (MS/REG PRF) for REV PRFs has to include some sort of cash in addition to the trade. I see several trying to trade up thier 68 REV PRFS for 69 REV PRFS and offer a MS69 or PR69DCAM in trade.....thats a crazy trade. With PR69 REV PRFS going for $250+ on EBAY...this is a stupid trade for the owner receiving the MS or REG PRF coin. This trade should be a 68 REV PRF + CASH for a 69 REV PRF, or a higher grade MS or REG PRF. Maybe not a huge cash outlay, but some sort of cash in addition. In this case, a $100 outlay plus the 68 REV PRF is a fair deal. The receiving party is basically selling a raw set now (68's) for about $170 and the owner receiving the 69 REV PRF probably completed a 3-69 set worth about 350-400.
What's the problem?
You seem upset over how others want to trade. What does it matter?
As long as both agree it's a good deal!
Buying top quality Seated Dimes in Gem BU and Proof.
Buying great coins - monster eye appeal only.
I will trade (1) pr69dcam f/s 20thh anniversary gold eagle and 5 unopened 20th anniversary silver sets for (1) pr70dcam f/s 20thh anniversary gold eagle.

I have the pr69dcam in hand, and my 5 silver sets should be here real soon. They show in stock and reserved.

just looking for fair trades to be made......lets be realistic.....some of those trades looked real "one sided"
there's a difference between a good trade and taking a beating.
probably the same reason why I care when the widow walks into the coin show and is "sweet talked" into selling 5K worth of decent coins for 1-2K.
My 69DCAM Gold American Eagle First Strike/20th Anniv Set labelling (Regular Proof) plus $1,000 cash for your 70DCAM Gold American Eagle First Strike/20th Anniv Set labelling (Regular Proof)
pm if interested

Cool, glad I already made my deal.
<< <i>well then sell it to me >>
Let me think.
Nope.
Now that's a trade I could only dream about
The last DCAM sold on eBay for $6900 and since the 3 piece 70 sets are now selling for over $15k the DCAM is probably worth closer to $9k alone right now. If the 3 piece sets go close to $20k it will be because of the DCAM alone, which means that is one valuable coin!

20th Anniversary First Strike Silver $1 PCGS graded:
MS68--27 coins
Reverse Proof68--17 coins
Pr69DCAM--14 coins
I am looking to either trade up to 69s in MS and Reverse Proof, or across (69s for 69s)
I can go multiple coins for a trade up or i can go coin for coin plus cash. If you have MS69s or Reverse Proof 69s, all in 20th Anniversary First Strike slabs, and need some 68s or some 69PDCAM, lets trade.

Anyone who pays anywhere near that price for the 70DCAM is on the pipe.
Holeinone - I'll believe you traded for one when I see your 70-70-70 set for sale.....
34 last week.
I predict falling prices. If you have one sell now.
I may lower my offer.
7over8 there's no need to get hot under the collar just because I remarked about the current market price of the DCAM. If you're having a hard time getting one from someone at a 1/5 of market value then pay near or at market value, and you'll get your coin. Besides, comments like the one above might scare off potential sellers anyway.
Good luck on your DCAM hunt.........
WF
Peace
i've seen this type of market develop and deteriorate time and time again. whether its moderns, or commems, or black box GSA's, or brown Ike's (yep, even brown ike's - remember when 73s silvers were $150+) over the last 30+ years I've seen alot or areas go boom and bust.
am i guilty of participating in the first strike nonsense? yes. do I speculate in these sets? yes. do I plan on getting out of these sets quick and reap the profits.....absolutely, as these sets will decline in value before firming up.
PR70dcam coins will number over 100 very soon. I predict within 2 weeks time. This is a PCGS made rarity, linked to the sealed box submission wackiness.
There will be more First strike grade coins, as PCGS allows sealed boxes with postmark dates of Oct24 or before to be submitted ANYTIME ad still qualify.
I do believe the REV PRF in 70, even numbering very high % as compared to the total, will be a long term keeper and firm up in price.
I like the MS coin in 70. Again, I believe a long term keeper.
