Another ASE 3pc set thread :)

Just 2 days ago, got the 2nd batch of sets "in stock and reserved".
Status was the same last night.

Looked today and had a tracking number. Also showed I wasn't home to receive from FedEx so I have to go tonight or tomorrow to pick them up.

Pretty speedy for the Mint image

Now, do I keep these unopened or open them? My first set of 5 is opened and practically flawless.....I got some very nice sets!

And, do I have a co-worker order another 5-10 for me?

There are dealers paying $175 per set for unopened boxes. I say don't open the box.

Wow, linkified? I have a set of ten coming. Maybe. Hell, who knows.

    Ok....you all convinced me.
I just had a co-worker order 10 more sets (in 2 groups of 5 each) for me.
We shall see if they come in soon image

As for selling the current set of 5 unopened......I have a nice offer on the table I believe. But, the dilemma is whether to do that or get them graded myself and potentially get even more.

Do I want 80+% profit with no effort or do I want a chance for 200-300+% profit with some risk and effort? I hate choices!!!!

I'm all for "collect what you like," but this speculative mania is just nuts, IMO.

When most people are trying to buy the maximum number of sets, it's not "collecting."

Sure it is collecting. It is collectiong more cash to be able to afford to collect what you collect.

I had that same choice yesterday with my 10 sets......I packed 'em up and sent them to PCGS
just as fast as I could, because if I didn't get them out right away,....that "should I, or shouldn't I"

  • Bochiman -

I ordered mine 9/4 and it still says ship date of 12/8 image Just curious, what did your co-workers ship date come up as for the two sets of 5? Wouldn't suprise me if those sets get delivered before mine..and mine were ordered two months ago. image
