Ancient coin. Can someone tell me what I have?

    Correct. Also, its from the mint at Lyon (Roman Lugdunum (sp?) see PLC in exergue on the reverse) probably minted 315-20 (don't have RIC vol 7 handy at the moment but the coin could be placed within a couple of years. The reverse has the god Sol and the inscription is something like "Sol the invincible, the companion (of our emperor). " Shortly after the battle of the Milvian Bridge (and about the time of Constantine's vision), this series starting to appear in great quantity; perhaps an intermediate step to his conversion to Christianity on his deathbed. An interesting, very large and very complex series of coins. Congrats on a nice pickup.
