Customers have been complaining for weeks, after about the first hundred that got returned ......... well no one said that the "government moves fast!"
Those who have already received theirs might be able to get them certified as F.... S...... and also Original Auto-Opening Mint Capsule. Why doesn't the mint put these in the same plastic they use for aspirin bottles? Who the heck can get them open?

Any kid. The aspirin bottles are only "Adult Proof"
I did something with mine when I got it. Since I like the eagle side much more, I put the eagle side up in the case. When you do this, there is NO chance for the top part of the capsule to fly off. The bottom half is much bigger than the top, so if packaged that way, the capsule will not open. Or a rubberband over the bottom half of the proof case over the coin will help too.

All coins kept in bank vaults. PCGS Registries Box of 20 SeaEagleCoins: 11/14/54-4/5/12. Miss you Larry!
I ordered 2 UNC's. Both arrived last week loose. Both scratched on the reverse. Both pocked marked on the obverse with what looked like little nicks, not from coming loose but from manufaturing defects. Both went back to the Mint Monday. I debated about replacements, but ended up asking for a refund.
Whoever was lucky enough, and I mean lucky, to get one of these UNC's in good shape may be sitting on a winner as it looks like their numbers may be quite low when all the dust settles. IMHO
The entire thing still makes me
Collecting coins, medals and currency featuring "The Sower"
Absolutely--take a look at some of the other SF threads. I've been calling it the mint's 'Frisco Fiasco'
I received 5 proofs in 2 shipments. All 5 arrived open. 2 had damage easily seen without a loop. After studying the coins for the third time last night, I've decided to send all 5 back.

A Shiba Inu is a terrible thing to waste!
It isn't like this is the Mints first attempt at packaging.
Plastic capsules popping open
They don't make capsules as smart as they used to. The things magically pop open in every case!
the 20th ANN ASE sets. they seem to be
flopping around in the boxes also.
