Lots of ICCS coins appeared in the TOREX auction (no surprise!) but I've lost touch with that service. How does ICCS grading stack up today?

Ive found that the older coins hold true to the tougher than US grading standards that Canada is known for. The newer ICCS coins are overgraded in almost every case. It is the new PCI/Segs of the 3rd party world. I heard at a show that the old owner isn't grading anymore and his son is now doing the bulk of the grading.

One interesting thing is that there were far more CCCS coins at the torex auction than there normally are. I think that this is telling of the lack of the high standard at ICCS currently.

Thanks, that helps. I was watching lot 143, the river god token of the Copper Company of Canada (ICCS PR-65!?). The picture was weak but it didn't bring as much as I expected, perhaps because of overgrading.
