Looks like an Overton 104, R. 4. Nice coin. Hard to really judge from the photo but I'd lean toward AU50. The 1820s are getting harder and harder to find. Congrats..

Nice job and I agree with you on the grade. This is a very tough variety, despite the R.4 designation.
Although it is probably slabbed as AU-53.

This would seem to qualify it as an EF of some sort.

It's in an old PCGS green label holder and graded an XF45, which is why I wanted input on the grading.
I did purchase it as an O-104 and paid as such
Luster in the protected areas will usually mean the TPG will throw an EF grade at the coin regardless of the visible wear. It is all about the luster. Nice coin and a real tough variety you got there
1920 is a year to hoard (but don't tell anyone).
