Is anyone else doing this with their 20th Anniv AGE/ASE sets?

I ordered and received 1 AGE and 10 ASE sets, just because. I had the intention to send out the AGE, and possibly one or more of the ASE's, to PCGS for "First Strike" slabbing.

I still have time to do so, but I've changed my mind. I am planningh on leaving the sets in their original, unopened shipping cartons and just putting them away. For a long time. Or until I need the money image.

Is anybody else doing or considering this?

Yes. I opened mine and plan on keeping them in the much nicer than usual Mint packaging. Gold set is in long term storage in a bank vault box. One silver set will be going there with it soon.

I did by extra silver sets to later sell to offset my spending in the hobby. But they will also be in original Mint packages as offered. I am glad I opened as I did have enough shipping damage to arrange into a complete bad set that I returned for replacement.

After receiving my 1 set on 10/14 I ordered 9 more on 10/17. Assuming that I get the nine sets I plan on selling some during the Christmas rush IF they are bringing super prices or, if not, just holding them for a few years. I believe these sets will only increase in value in the years to come due to the relatively low mintage of the RP - even if they don't increase in value by much, I'd rather have my $900 stashed away in these sets than have it simply sitting in my bank where I might be tempted to spend it on .....

3 gold sets and 10 silver sets

Sent in 2 gold sets for grading, kept one unopened for future speculation.

The 10 silver sets were ordered in 2 5 box lots, so I may send 5 in and keep 5 in unopened boxes. Who knows. I am gonna need a bigger safety deposit box real soon though. LOL

I am holding both of my AGE Sets in the Original Packaging, Mint Sealed until my impulsive, inablity to delay gratification maleness strikes out with a preconditioned vengance.

My "impulsive, inablity to delay gratification maleness" struck on the first day.
