    Welcome Merlin,

Photobucket is probably the easiest to host photos for you. It's free and fairly easy. If they are less than 50k in size, you can upload them here and they will host them for you.

    Welcome aboard.

When the clad is punched from the sheet the copper core tends to get smeared across
the bottom clad layer and this will disclose this orientation even after the coin is struck.
Sometimes you'll see a little of the top clad layer that's coloring the copper core as well.

The clad layers are quite thin relative the core and it's most improbable there is more
than slight variation in this. The appearance of the edge is dependent on numerous fac-
tors from the speed of the blanking press to the sharpness of the "dies" and wear on the
    holes that backup these dies.

It is atypical to see a coin where the core appears thin.

Welcome to the forum...15 years agao I pulled this 1990-D out of pocket change, it just looked different and it was. The copper core along the reeded edge of the clad coin dime is not visible at all. I figured for sure this was an error coin only to find out this happens alot. The copper core is in there, thin or not even visible because the outer jacket of .750copper-.250nickel has been forced along the edges in the stamping process. I keep mine as a find/learning specimen...I hope you get the chance to show us some pictures of the one you have found.

    Good luck...
