Anyone following the ups and downs of these AGE sets????

A couple weeks or so ago $5k+ was typical.

I then saw many sets going for $4200 to $4600 over recent weeks.

I was really thinking the "Thrill is Gone."

Then, Voila!!!!! Tonight an AGE set went for $5425.....go figure!!!

Linkage

ps. Why are eBayer's paying such a premium on ASE sets?????? $135++++++++++++++

I'm thinking that there is a little lull after the initial excitement as some sellers have to unload to pay credit card bills and some buyers wait to see what is happening. This may be a buying opportunity as the low mintage may make these go up even more.

Disclosure: I'm a seller so that is a seller's viewpoint.

  • A lot of things affect the price, such as feedback, paypal, is the item in stock, is it a newbie seller. I have seen people hit the bin for 400.00 more because that seller took paypal.

  • Tis' the season!
  • The so-called official AGE price thread is at this
    link

There is a good bit of data posted there if anyone wants to track the prices, or put them into a spreadsheet or whatever for analysis.

My sealed AGE set close for $5125 on Sunday. A PCGS graded 69 set closed for $5100 a bit later on Sunday.
  • Sell your AGE set during the X-mas season, on eBay, for maximum value !
