1914 Baltimore Team Card in REA Auction

I was reading the article here at PSA on the find of the 1914 Baltimore Team Card (along with another Babe Ruth rookie card) that's going to be in the REA action. I came across this statement:

"The dimensions are 4.5 x 6.5 inches. The corners of the card have been clipped. It is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. "

Does that sound old school or what? Or perhaps one of the joke eBay auction where a trashed card is listed as mint? I can understand the "otherwise" but not "excellent to mint". What the heck does that mean?
