How much of the John J. Ford collection remains to be sold?

The last auction catalog was I believe #15. Anyone know how much remains to be sold or is this the collection that never ends? image

I believe that there is still quite a bit of material left, but some of it is not highly priced, such as tokens, obsolete currency, etc. I am sure that there are still some very valuable items left, as well.

I do not know when they will be sold. I have heard that they may take a breather and offer some of this material in a few years, but again this is just a rumor, and we have all had experiences with them.

Now that Stack's and ANR are one, maybe they will figure out the best way to continue auctioning the material.

Stack's has had some very successful specialized sales not in NYC, for colonial currency, Hard Times Tokens, and encased postage.

I am sure that it will all come out eventually......

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
