Merriman is great but his name does not resonate with people the way the biggers stars do.
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
<< <i>Crazy. He's so good it boggles my mind why he would mess around with that. And I know that the arguement will be, he may be good because of it. I don't buy that. A guy has certain gifts and I don't think steroids would take a guy from average to one of the best in today's game. >>
If the guy were 30-40 pounds lighter and didn't have steroid rage, he could probably be a decent receiver
<< <i>The best defensive player in the NFL gets busted for steroids and its barely a footnote on ESPN or any paper. If some young dominating player in baseball got caught, say Pujols or Ryan Howard, we'd never hear the end of it. Why does the NFL appear to always get a free pass on the steroid issue? >>
I don't know what you've been listening to or reading, but its been on ESPN radio nearly non-stop since last night, it's been on the front page of ESPN.com since last night...seems as if they are making a pretty big deal out of it.

Basically a drop in the bucket compared to what would happen if one of baseball's best young hitters was caught doing the same thing.

differnet games and different effects, i think steriods in baseball helps a lot more than steriods in football

I dont think you can compare "one of baseballs best young hitters" to a deffensive player in the NFL. If it was a top QB, RB or reciever... then yeah i am sure a big deal would be made of it.
Just my opinion on it.

This kid is likely the best defensive player in the game but joe six pack doesn't really know who he is. Maybe that's it. But defensive players can cause a buzz. If it were a Ray Lewis or an Urlacher or a Strahan or LT in their prime, maybe we'd see more of an uproar. But hard to imagine even the ultra high-profile players in the NFL getting caught and creating a Barry Bonds or Rafael Palmeiro or type uproar.

I agree. If it were Ryan Howard or Albert Pujols in his second year, it would have been a MUCH bigger deal than it has been.
