Walker folks: Anyone familiar with the 1944-S/S? (see photo)

I pulled this out of some circ. Walker rolls a while back and put it in a 2x2, but I've never been able to learn anything about it... or even if there is much collecting of Walker varieties in general. Can anyone help?

When in doubt, don't.

It's worthless - sell it to me for melt.
  • It is the 1944-S RPM-04

    Repunched S north.

That is nice doubling on the S what does the rest of the coin look like. It should go for a premium due to the variety. Is this coin graded? If so by who? As far as walker varieties I have been trying to get them to recognize my 1946 DDR for a while, they noted it on the slab but it doesn't have a spot in the registry sets.

    That is FS-50-1944S-501.

At least, I think it is.

But the CPG says CONECA lists it as RPM 4, and the post above says it is CONECA RPM 2.

Here's the rest of the coin... plenty of lustre left, no evidence of cleaning; just a nice AU Walker. (The 'stuff' on Liberty's skirt and elsewhere is junk from the carpet where I shot the photos. image Guess I should vacuum a bit more often.)

TTT for the non-late night folks.

Anyone have any ideas about the scarcity of this variety?

I bought one about 5 years ago in an ANACS holder. I had just sent back a MS65 1944-S for having too weak of a strike and the ANACS graded one came available. I thought it was neat to have an S over S variety. I have not seen any others until you posted. I will try to take some pictures of it and get them posted.
