I was imaging some buffaloes tonight and I was rather pleased with how this one came out, so I thought I would share.

<< <i>Very nice image, what camera set-up are you using? >>
Budget copy stand.
Thanks for the kind words! The 1913 Type One Buffalo Nickel is my favorite buffalo, too!
Dizzlec, I grade it a 64.

Ok on the grade, I wasn't too far off. I was thinking 65. Maybe I gave it an extra point for the photo technique.

<< <i>sweet set up I like it.

Well thanks.
I think the strike is a bit soft for a 65. Plus, there is obvious die wear on the coin, notably the obverse on the Indian's neck.

I don't know about a 64 on the coin though, looks better to me.

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
<< <i>Excellent Job Amanda!!!! Now for the next challenge....some trimes and some DCAM Frankies and Kennedies!!! >>
If you insist...
Thanks for the kind words, all.
This is the infamous trime that grades VG-AU all at the same time!

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

I agree that coin is MS64, for the exact reason you cite--a bit of striking softness, apparent in the hair knot on the obverse, and on the Buffalo's head and hide on the reverse. But a very nice coin indeed!
Just kidding, great looking coin.
Guitarwes- I used a halogen desk lamp and a incandescent lamp, you're right!
Guy, yes that is the coin I got from you. It's my favoritest buffalo.
Coinhog- you sure better be kidding!
Mark, I have finally realized that taking the coins out of the albums makes it A LOT easier to take pictures!

I recently shot a Dansco Album full of coins. The Album does make it a bit tougher at times. I managed to shot the whole album of coins with the coins left in the album, but it was more challenging.
