Do you think Alison Frankel's assesment of the coin world in "Double Eagle" as being "
...arcana and filled with people who happily spend their days sifting through it all." (pages 214 & 215) accurate?
If so, is this forum one of those places "filled with people who happily spend their days sifting through it all."
I know this is the first place I thought of when I read her statement.

I loved the book, it is awesome.
Ahhhh...more like tipping over the bucket than sifting, you never know exactly what is going to spill out of the tipped bucket. The Collectors Universe Forum is a place to go to interact with those of like interest.
It is hard now days where coin collecting comes up in general conversation, you have to go out of your way to find a topic of that nature...here, you can indulge in what ever peeks your interest plus learn a whole lot about other areas of this hobby.
