Where to buy graded chinese pandas?

Where is the best place to buy chinese pandas from?

eBay has a very limited selection and I can't find any whatsoever (graded or raw) on any of the other auction/sale sites I could think of. I'm no expert in identifying fakes, even though I've read many of the online guides, and feel comfortable with graded ones.

I don't know of any counterfeit Pandas, they are not much more than bullion and hardly worth it.image Try pandamerica.
  • Here are a couple of sources for obtaining certified/graded China Panda coins:

    govmint.com

    pandaamerica.com

    pandausa.com

coinvault.com ---this is not the TV Coin Vault but rather Clark Smith who sells world gold

    eBay

NGC appears to certify the most Panda coins possibly because they have a Registry for Pandas. I also believe they are somewhat looser on their grading standards than PCGS whose Pandas sell for a premium over NGC especially in MS69.

The key date one ounce MS69 Panda coins are 1982, 1983, 1984. 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996. They will sell for quite a bit over the bullion value of the coins. An NGC MS69 1982 will sell for over $3,500; the other keys for over $1,000. 1982 and 1983 one ounce Pandas are tough dates to find problem free.

1986 through 1996 PR69 Pandas are seldom offered.

Edit to add: APMEX always has a large selection of ungraded Pandas and a few graded ones. Prices are typically the lowest to be found.
