Eagles get beat by a stinkin' 62 yard f*ing field goal

stevekstevek Posts: 29,241 ✭✭✭✭✭
From one of the stinkinest teams, with one of the stinkinest coaches!

F*ing days like this makes it tough to be a Philadelphia sports fan, but what the f* else is new?

62 yard field goal!!! Are you f*ing kiddin' me!? I just can't believe this f*ing bull*it!!!!!

Usually, if not always, I congratulate the other teams fans when the Eagles get beat. But not this time...the Bucs are so stinkin' pathetic and the Eagles just handed these stinkin' losers and Jon "Wimp" Gruden this football game on a f*ing silver f*ing platter.

Where's the whiskey at? I need a whole bottle right now.

You can count on a few of these just head scratching endings every year. Unfortuantely for the Eagles they had it happen to them twice. The Giant game and now this.

I stood there looking at the TV laughing! I just could not believe it. Talk about booming a kick man ..... I guess no more talk about him finally hitting a 30 yarder today? image

  • Reggie brown is only bright spot for eagles.
  • It's an incredibly tough was to lose, but you just can't lose games when your total offense is 500 yds versus their 200.

I'm not superstitious or generally believe in jinxes, but this is getting to be too much even for me. What the f*k did the city of Philly do to deserve this? We just can't win...year after year...team after team...it's the same stinkin' thing. Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, Flyers...can't f*ing win! It just goes on and on and f*ing on.

    I need another bottle.
  • You should be 7-0 lmao, I guess the Vikes SHOULD be undefeated too.

You guys hang out with Roy Williams in Detroit or what?

This for me still pales in comparison to UCLA's unforgivable coaching lapse and choke against Notre Friggin' Dame yesterday.

I remember the eagles utterly dismantling them 2 times in a row when they faced them in the playoffs, except for the most recent game, though TB has had the better of them of late.

Well the Bucs shut down the vet, then opened the linc with a shutout...now today's amazing win. The eagles just don't have the stomach for it.

Steve....If you would pull yourself out from under the bed you might realize that the better team won. Ronde was reading McNabb all
day. That isn't luck. I think you need to realize that McNabb, while is puts up nice numbers against Houston, Green Bay and San Fran,
does not have what it takes to win the big game.

Bucs pathetic...LOL, at what point do we become good? 1 win, 2 wins 3 wins?

We own you, get over it.

  • still gotta admit that was an amazing kick come on 62 yards give the guy a hand even if they beat your teamimage

While I understand the plite of being a Lions fan, at least in Detroit your Pistons won a championship a few years back with Larry Brown. I don't really follow hockey very closely but I know the Red Wings won a championship in about the past few years. Well, the city of Philadelphia hasn't won a championship in any major sport since the Jurassic Park era.

The kick was nice, especially when the stupid *** announcers said that he couldn't hit anything longer than 30 yards...at one
time saying that unlike the Bucs, Aikers can hit it from anywhere......eat crow baby

As much as the kick was nice, Ronde Barber just owned McNabb. You can pretty much chalk up the last 3 wins to Ronde and the
    defense. Just dominating.

I can speak for me ... I am over it. It was a friggin 62 yd FG so whattyagonnado???

The only problem I have with the bucs is that you are a fan of them, and now have the right to gloat. Other than that, they are 4-3 and are still the team to beat in the NFC East .... regardless of where they stand today.

I'll get over it only if it doesn't affect the Eagles getting into the playoffs - if affects getting into the playoffs, then I'll never get over it.

    stevek-

don't be bitter, just because the kicker who had never made a 50+ yard field goal, and because mcchoke threw away the game to Barber (twice!)

The better team won (and has continued to win since shutting down the vet).

Team to beat? Giants have a perfect divisional record, and with as tight as the division is gonna be in the end this is huge. Even more importantly, the Giants have righted the ship and the defense has come alive the past 2 game. Although, I never put down the Iggles like most media analysts as well as my football buddies. To me, they're biggest loss so far this season has been the injuries to Kearse and Stallworth. They are essentially the same type of squad they were before Owens. But with a stronger cast of wideouts and a revamped D-line and an even stronger O-line. The Giants, came out of that tough first 1/3 of the season in better shape that in was looking like they would for a while. Hell, I was getting real pissed at the lackadasiacal effort on D, and the first half on offense. But after the Seattle loss, the D has come on STRONG and even with the loss of Arrington I don't think the D will lose much. Gerris Wilkinson(LB, Georgia Tech) is a workhorse that I was a fan of before the draft. His motor is always redlining and in time he will be a starter for a long time with the Giants. He was a steal in the draft. Brandon Short came back, and although he's not a great LB he's a hardworker. 7 Sacks on Vick and 6 on the Cowboys the last 2 weeks. The NFC East is still the toughest division, and will be that way for a while. The Skins are eventually gonna install Campbell and he's gonna be a impact QB. The Cowboys, well they need a QB and one that they'll stick with. But as I(and some other astute fans pointed out before the season) the thing that'll make or break the 2006 Cowboys is the offensive line. I know, I said it during training camp. Against the Giants the ineptitude of the O-line showed up, HUGE. Arrington was untouched on the safety(No QB could've gotten away from it) and Strahan wasn't even blocked on his first sack. Some of the INTs were from the Cowboys O-line, and without a line no QB will succeed.

Btw, Bucs are next on the chopping block. Should be an exciting contest, as the Bucs D has come back to the Buccaneer standards as of late and Gradkowski has a set of brass balls. For the Giants to win, they MUST shutdown the run game and pressure the hell out of the rookie. If they can do that, and control the clock with Barber and Jacobs; they'll be 5-2.
