Nah - I knew they were gonna try to kick the field goal - 4 seconds left...weather was warm...kicker had made a few already...it was the right call.

I was *cheering* when they went for the field goal !
noone outside of Denver makes 60+ yarders, I think the birds were SO AFRAID of the offsides or a penalty that they didn't rush the kicker at all.
but im guessing, Id have to see a replay.

Tom Dempsey wasn't in Denver, was he?

Anyway, you might be right. In the NFL, for a kicker with a good leg, a 57-yarder is MUCH more "makeable" than a 62. That could be why there was almost no rush on the kick.
