Ping! Anthony Hawley re: 1909 VDB 1c PCGS Proof 64RB

Tony, I've e-mailed you privately and I'm using the RCC & this forum as well
because I bought a rare PCGS graded 1909 VDB 1c in Proof 64 RB. If I
had your phone number I'd call.
As you know, only about 98 in all have been graded by PCGS in all
grades & color designations with 21 RBs at this grade level. The toughest
proof by far of all the Lincoln Cent proofs, this one looks like a
Proof-65 with outstanding color and surfaces..quite probably a crackout
candidate. I'd phone if I had your phone number.
This was an an incredible find at the St. Charles Show yesterday. In
any case, if you miss my e-mail and this post, I'll place it on eBay
tomorrow with no Buy It Now for 10 days so you'll have another shot at
it if you get this message late.

<< <i>Good luck to whoever gets it. This IS the "Holy Grail" of Lincoln proof cents. Tony has what appears to be an almost complete set. So does Mike. Both need THIS coin. And if Ira is the seller, you can bet it's a winner. Good luck.

Turns out that Tony just bought new2007 Tahoe on Friday so he wrote his coin budget is tapped out.
Bottom line, coin is available and I plan on listing on eBay this evening. Here's the url:

I plan to list later at $9995 with no reserve in a 10 day auction. Hope it goes for somewhat more..think it will..but we'll see. That is, unless someone
here makes me an offer I can't refuse.
BTW, I never got a private e-mail from Mike.
I can be reached at iras4 at aol dot com

1. Die polish shows on the front of and top of Lincoln's nose on the obverse.
2. Die scratch from the back of Lincoln's coat going into the field below the right leg of the R of LIBERTY on the obverse.
3. Die chip to the right of M in UNUM on the reverse.
This is a RARE coin. Do NOT be fooled.
