Figure out what ebay fees (and maybe paypal fees) would eat, then meet in the middle.

I've done that before.....someone here gets it less than what ebay would cost and you get more than what you would get on ebay.

Of course, at this price range, doing paypal will net more buyers.

Just a thought.

Do you think this is over priced? The single PR RP 70 coin is selling for up to $6100 buy it now price alone on ebay. I thought my price was very reasonable. Feedback?

Your price appears reasonable to me looking at recent sales of the PR70 alone running in the $5,400 +/- range. I am not sure these boards are the best venue for a new issue that ran up so fast. We likely have a much bigger chunk of the population that did get orders placed.

Looks like I have to mail my sets to PCGS. Pay my fees and
try my luck. Gee whiz. I opened the box. Now what? I still have
the box, it says October 10th on it. Then, they must be first
strikes, but alas, I have opened the box. Seriously, do we "need"
to have these graded? Can't they be graded at anytime in the
future? Do you think it will make a difference? In value?

2006 20th ANNIVERSARY GOLD AND SILVER EAGLES

Effective September 26, 2006

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the American
Eagle Coin Program in 2006, the U.S. Mint created
three new set options for sale to collectors, as
follows:

1. American Eagle 20th Anniversary Gold Coin Set,
containing:
a. 2006-W $50 Proof – identical to the coins issued
earlier this year.
b. 2006-W $50 Reverse Proof – a completely new style
for Proof coins, with frosted fields and brilliant
devices.
c. 2006-W $50 Mint State – the first with the “W”
mintmark
Limited edition of 10,000 sets, already sold out, and
with the first shipments on 9/25/06.

2. American Eagle 20th Anniversary Silver Coin Set,
containing:
a. 2006-W $1 Proof – identical to the coins issued
earlier this year.
b. 2006-P $1 Reverse Proof - a completely new style
for Proof coins, with frosted fields and brilliant
devices.
c. 2006-W $1 Mint State – the first with the “W”
mintmark
Limited edition of 250,000 sets, still available as of
9/25/06, expected to begin shipping mid-October

3. American Eagle 20th Anniversary Gold & Silver Set,
containing:
a. 2006-W $1 Mint State – the first with the “W”
mintmark
b. 2006-W $50 Mint State – the first with the “W”
mintmark
Limited edition of 20,000 sets, still available as of
9/25/06, expected to begin shipping mid-October

PCGS will offer special First Strike/20th Anniversary
Set inserts for these coins subject to the following
special limitations:
1. All coins must be submitted in the original,
unopened Mint packaging as received from the Mint
within 30 days of the original release date (check
with our Bulk Department for exact dates). Because the
2006-W $50 Proof and 2006-W $1 Proof coins were
already issued earlier this year, the packaging must
remain unopened for these coins to qualify for these
special inserts.
2. Individual submissions of coins 1b, 1c, 2b, 2c, 3a,
and 3b (see above) will qualify for First Strike/20th
Anniversary Set inserts as long as they are received
within 30 days of their original release dates.
3. Individual submissions of coins 1a and 2a will not
qualify for First Strike/20th Anniversary Set inserts.

4. Depending on when the various sets begin shipping,
there may be some time overlap between coins 1c and 3a
(the 2006-W $1 Mint State) and 2c and 3b (the 2006-W
$50 Mint State). In case of overlap, the time “window”
for the First Strike designation on one or more of the
sets may be limited to the time left in the 30 day
period for the sets that are shipped first.
Example: if the 3-piece gold coin set begins shipping
on September 25th, the cutoff date for First Strikes
will be October 24th. Subsequently, if the 2-piece set
begins shipping on October 10th, the cutoff date for
First Strikes will be October 24th instead of November
9th.

Following the expiration of any First Strike/20th
Anniversary Set dates, PCGS will continue to designate
coins from the 20th Anniversary Sets as long as the
coins are received in the original, unopened, Mint
packaging.

When individual Reverse Proof and W-mintmarked coins
are released in the future, they may qualify under the
First Strike program but not for the 20th Anniversary
Set designation. Guidance for these coins will be
developed as more information becomes available.

The First Strike/20th Anniversary Set inserts are
available to PCGS Authorized Dealers under the Bulk
Program. PCGS Collectors Club members may request
First Strike/20th Anniversary Set inserts for
individual coins by adding $10 per coin to the regular
grading/service fee. All Collectors Club submissions
must go through the Bulk Department.

Upon request, PCGS will return the original boxes and
paperwork to the submitter at the submitter’s expense.
