Coins in London?

I'm going to be in Brighton and London England this coming week and was wondering if there are any interesting numismatic things I should see and if anyone knows of any great coins shops I should drop by. Granted only activly collectu US coins but I think it would be great to see what a British coin shop is like.

Well, many choices. The British Museum adjacent to Russell Sq, and Coincraft across the street are good. Spink, a major house is on Southampton (I think). There are several other smaller shops nearby. Baldwins is near the Enbankment tube statiion.

If I was anywhere on British soil, I'd be out with my detector gettin' my coins outta the ground, and saving the coinshops for those really rainy days! image

I envy you the opportunity to travel there, even if you ain't diggin'. Just poking around in the coinshops there should be fascinating.
