Oh, I agree that the chances are slim to none that Cards can beat the Tigers, but you never know until they play. As a matter of fact, I think the chances are slim to none that the Cardinals will beat the Mets tonight in Game 7. But it doesn't hurt to cheer them on.

I just don't see Suppan pitching like he did in St Louis.

  • Hey Frank in all seriousness im not falling for the talk about the National League playing for 2nd place . Theres a reason why they play the games. Anything can happen

I remember when the Dodgers played the A's back in what 1988. Everyone and their momma was picking Oakland. Look what happened

Here's to a classic GM 7 tonight image

Hey, maybe fate will turn on the Mets. Here is what I mean. Maybe the Cardinals will be down in the 9th inning with 2 outs, and maybe Preston Wilson (Mookie's son) will hit a "little roller along first...behind the bag...it gets through Delgado...here comes Eckstein... and the Cardinals take the lead." Twenty years after his dad did it!!

    That would be a classic!

Suppan has been pitching very strong lately. Mets did a good job against Carpenter and to be honest I thought that was going to be the Mets last game of the season. Perez is either a shining star or a batting practice pitcher so it will depend on what Perez shows up for the Mets.

Being objective, I give the edge to the Cards but we wont really know until the end of the evening!

  • If Perez dosen't have it early tonight then Willie will not hesitate to get him out of there quickly.

Darren Olliver looked good against the Cards and will be ready to come in early if needed
