wanting to start collecting UK Florins, where should i start?

I find the British Florin designs to be very attractive, and there seems to be a variety of them out there. What should I look for when collecting these, and do any of you know of good websites outlining these coins? thanks for any help with this!

I like the Edward VII Florins... a short set that is very though in high grade, and the reverse design may in fact be the nicest of 20th century British coinage

are you referring to the reverse that has the beautiful standing Britannia? I really love this design, and find this one in particular to be quite stunning!

Another not quite so pretty but cheap and overlooked series is the George V in well struck 1911-1934.

Or you could save up for the "mother of all Florins" (my opinion, anyway!) the Gothic Florin, then go from there

A type set would be my suggestion, going as far back and as high quality as budget allows. The good thing about a tyoe set is you could assemble one very quickly / cheaply and then refine it

I gotta agree about the gothic style - I think it is the best design of the type.

One of my faves. You can't really tell from the pics, but the dark toning is very colorful. I've been meaning to reimage it at some point...
