im new to coin collecting, im looking at getting a marley 50th anniversary gold coin $100 from jamaica. the only one i can find is for $650 on ebay. anyone have any idea as to the worth of one of these coins or another place to find one?

    350-400. These come up fairly often, just be patient. There is a new bimetallic Marley issue from what I understand.

    the new 60th anniversary is silver with partial gold plating, it looks pretty nice. it seems to be going around $100 on ebay

    defintely be patient and you'll see them come up here and there.

    I got a good price one one, the reverse was GREAT, but the obv had a mark image

    happily, they took the return.


    Someone on the boards (Cosmic???) has a 70, but I dont think it's for sale image

    There is also a silver version that you can get for a lot less. I think the Bob Marley silver was my first fairly expensive darkside purchase. Haven't looked back since.

    the only 50th anniversary $100 jamaican bob marley coin i can find the dude insists is worth $600 and that he has sold a couple at that price recently. i have no patience i know. i bought a 60th anniversary for $150 which seems like an alright deal. i offered the guy $420 for the 50th but i guess he didn't think that was a good deal.

    On a side note: With the 60th Anniversary Marley silver with gold effigy coins bringing in over $100, the prices of the 50th anniversary are being driven up. The 50th silver could be had for $50-$60 and the gold for $425-$475 before the 60th anniversary issue.
