Grades Popped. What does this mean?

Just had my 6 freebies graded but check out the last card submitted and the answer they gave for not grading. I haven't seen this before? The card was a 2005 Topps Rookie Premiere Quad Auto FB card which had the hologram, etc., so I'm not sure what they found that stopped them from grading. Anybody experience this before and will they clarify when the cards are returned to me. As for the other cards I thought 1 of the Pujols would be an 8 so I'm happy with three 9's but the LCM I thought was a 10 and the Press Pass Auto would be a 9 so a bit disappointed in those. Oh well... win some, lose some.

Is it possible the card was too thick and it wouldn't fit in their current holders?

No, this one was on normal card stock. I don't get it? If I call or email PSA do you think they'd tell me the issue?

Well I just called them and I'm not sure if I'm buying their explanation. They said they simply don't grade that particular card and when asked why the poulation report shows 8 have previously been graded, they said they may have been accepted at one point but no longer do, although there is no place to find this info (other than the basic ones which are listed -Star Co. , etc) because they change all the time. They said you just have to send it in and if they can't grade it they'll send a voucher back for one freebie.

That sounds very weird. That is a recent regular issue card from a major player so I'm not sure why they won't touch it.
Any ideas??

Call back and speak to someone else. It sometimes takes a couple of tries to reach someone who knows what they are talking about. Might need to ask for a supervisor/manager.

Just thought I'd follow up on this. I had called back and talked to a Supervisor and they said they did indeed grade that type of card but mine had a misprint that made it different from the others and therefore ungradeable. He couldn't elaborate however on what the misprint was.

So Tuesday I get the cards in the mail and the card was of course sent back ungraded and the sticker on the toploader had in writing "names do not match checklist". What?? I grabbed my Beckett magazine and there is the quad QB auto with the 4 names (Smith, Frye, Cambell, Walter) with the same card number that's on the card. I just don't get it. Then they said it would be refunded but this was part of my free re-enrollment submissions and there was no voucher in the package so I'm thinking I'm out that as well. Not the best experience to say the least.

those cards have some kind of counterfieting problem don't they? maybe that is why they shy away from them like the star baskeball cards.

i thought you werent allowed to get autos graded with your free submissions?? cause i just signed up as well but havent gotten my vouchers yet. but anyway i thought thats what it said when i was signing?? i probably just read it wrong i suppose!
