Psa quality control Carol please read

I was just wondering if anyone else has been getting cards either by submission or ebay that have damage to the upper edge ( right in the middle of the edge )?
I have gotten 3 to 4 recently that are graded psa 10 but with the damage there is no way it could have been there prior to the grading process. I would think the grader, once the card is done with the grading process puts the card back in the cardsaver and sends them along to be slabbed.
This is where I believe the damage is occurring; The "slabber" is grabbing the card and pulling it out of the cardsaver exactly where the damage is . It seems that the "slabber" is not opening the cardsaver wide enough and his/her fingers are rubbing over the edge. This is creating chipping and pushed back paper. Even gloved hands rubbing over the edge will cause some damage, especially on condition sensitive cards.
Now, this is not happening on every card, just some. But, that some is too many. I am not just writing this to complain. Its just an issue I take serious and needs to be resolved.
There is nothing worse than paying good money on a psa 10 card and being disappointed when it arrives.
Thanks
Matt

To breathlessly post this accusation on thier message board seems unproductive.
Loves me some shiny!
<< <i>Perhaps, because you are speculating, you might have raised this issue privately with PSA.

Actually, I disagree. First off, this is not "breathlessly" posted as you are implying.
I did email them regarding this issue. I have also emailed them in the past regarding other concerns but to no avail.
Carol reads these boards and I am sure she will see this and address the issue. Thats why I posted it.
Its obvious to me the only breathless post was yours, not taking the time to even understand or read my post.

Can we have a detail scan of the dinged corner and a whole pic of the PSA 10 card and holder?
If the card has a ding - then it's like you have surmised...damaged during the holder process - or it may be misgraded?
Either way - the card is not a 10 and the card can be returned to PSA for disposition?

I really can’t comment on your cards without someone looking at them in hand, but if you have scans of the cards, e-mail them to me so I can pass them along.

Thanks Carol
My reason for posting this was because I knew you would see it and mention it to someone in the proper department. It was not meant to slam psa or anything like one of the board memebers implied. Overall I am very happy with PSA or I surely would not be doing the Set Registry. I will get you the scans.
Thanks

Its only the upper middle edge of the cards, not the corners. I have bought cards from many different sellers and every once in a while I get one damaged the same way as the others are. It makes me believe its happening during the removal of the card from the cardsaver by the slabber. It makes 100% sense to me.
Here is a scan of a card I submitted that was perfect in every way. Not a spot of white on any of the edges. its a PSA 10. Look at the middle of the upper edge.

That's a tough call.
Unless you have a scan of the card before? That little bit of white - can be seen as a slight rough cut and still keep the card as a 10 IMO.
Sorry to hear about this - but that's gonna be a tough one to prove - I think.

I agree. It looks far worse in person, especially when I know it was not a rough cut. If it was like that I would not have sent it in to be graded. I am not out to get anything in return or even send it back. I would just like to make light of something that I think should be looked into.

You know you should really get that stick removed from your a**. A week or two back you basically called another board member an idiot because he paid money to take his kid to get Hank Aaron's autograph and now this.
Is it that time of the month for you or what??

I think you have Matt Confused with someone else.
Arthur
<< <i>I believe the cards are CUT out of the card savers as well...unsure though a big mystery!! >>
Untrue. The PSA grading process video clearly shows that cards are returned to their original cardsaver between grading and slabbing. No cutting involved.

No I don't

<< <i>I just thank the heavens that's a Faulk and not an Emmitt. There would've been some serious Bruce Banner $hite going down if that were the case.
Arthur >>
Arthur, The bad thing is I have received two Emmitt 10's recently with the same damage in the same spots(just not as severe but i still bugs me), the upper middle edge
