This leaves only one gap in middle of this set which is getting there :

1893 Proof Half Sovereign

1937 Proof Half Sovereign

106 years of half sovereigns, just need the 1902 Matt Proof for the run.

I too used to have the 1893-2002 proof hav solv type set at sometime, mostly PCGS PR64CAM, London mint. Tender memories, although I've never ventured into young heads and pre-Victoria. You have a killer set.

Very nice set. Careful with the Edward VII as these come almost universally hairlined - I think they may even have been wiping these at the mint!

Thats why I don't have one yet, very hard to find a decent example

Read somewhere that they were actually pickled after strike to achieve the matt finish, so the extra handling did not help at all.

The 1911 just arrived from Steinberg's, the rest came from all over during the last 5 yrs or so.
