Even in a 16 team league, do you think there is anyone who started Leinart this week?

    WOW

Leinart looking terrific out there. Appears very confident and he's producing.

Do you hear thiesmann continue to say he's 'lucky' (on that near interception)? He was on either PTI or some radio show today saying there's absolutely no way arizona wins this game. Same with jaws...I hope it holds out.

Did these teams exchange uniforms before the game? LOL

Well grossman's never looked this good, so I'd say no? Arizona looks pissed out there, crushing the bears.

This is a classic 'trap' game where it appears the bears have begun to believe everyone saying they're the best team in the league and overlooked a dangerous and young AZ team.

This is why media/fans shouldn't start talking Super Bowl in October. NOBODY is going undefeated any more, too much parity (that could be good or bad, but, that's another story). Anyway, let's see this team play 16 games + 3 before we start comparing them to the '85 Bears.

folks seem to like to have it all figured out before it starts... kinda defeats the purpose.

what a freaking meltdown..that rivals the Eagles. How can you pi** away a 20 point lead when you have forced the 6 turnovers and
the opposing offense hasn't done anything all game? They need to burn that place down. Thats why the Cards are 1-5. Edge should
    be fired, he sucks ***

  • That was simply incredible. Hey Leinart did his job, and got them into field goal range. AZ is cursed.
  • that was nuts..and your right leinart did everything he could..i was really impressed with him today..i dont wish the bears D on any QB!! lol

    Oh jeez.

I am sure when the cards were up 13 in the fourth you were saying 'we got this'.

Nope. And I'd much rather have Leinert than Grossman the rest of the way. Grossman can throw the deep ball and thats about it. He doesn't have the poise to throw underneath and move the ball 5 to 7 to 10 yards at a time. Unless he learns that quickly, the Bears are in BIG TROUBLE. They got lucky and the D bailed them out big time. 4 QB turnovers is unexcusable. But they won. Hopefully they can gut out the games when Grossman struggles and hopefully they can bring in someone better than Wade FREAKING Miller to help coach a young Qb.

I am a realist, but I am estatic my team won after playing so poorly.

    No flaming.

    I enjoy your posts.

But don't come here and say 'all you naysayers go back in your holes' when your team didn't win, but instead Arizona lost the game.

That's all viewpoint. The Bears D and special team made the plays when they needed to. Rackers, who I knew in college BTW, missed that kick as he has done lately.

I'm glad I wasn't on the boards during the game. image

I just enjoy going back and reading the posts and the times they were posted about how the Bears suck. It may not actually say that verbatim, so don't go try and prove me wrong, but thats what I read image

And Denny Green says "The Bears are who we thought they were."

    What does that mean?

Probably means a team who knows how to win, and is better than the Cards.

Wish Leinart would have been able to take a win tonight - he was definitely the star of the show.
  • I dont think Arizona lost the game as much as the Bears absolutely ridiculous D took it away from them... the leinart fumble wasnt his fault..the Edge was just a great play by urlacher..and special teams just pushed it over the edge, but then Leinart came back down the field and did what he needed to, rackers just messed it up..thats why he is no longer a bengal!! lol image

And as Theismann just said, "the Cardinals didn't give the ball away, the Bears took it."

And they did. The Mark Anderson sack and fumble for a TD. Urlacher stripping the Edge for the fumble and TD. Defensive stop and punt return for a TD.

The Cards can't close, but they hardly "gave" the ball to the Bears.

How does James not keep two hands on the ball throughout that entire run when the fumble occured? He had one hand on the ball when he was hit, and then tried to tie up the ball with two hands but was unsuccessful at that point. Extremely poor coaching for that particular situation in the game.

This is why it's so painful to be a Cardinals fan. I tried to root for them for nearly 20 years when I lived in Phoenix and they always seem to let you down. I have to say though, this is the best Arizona Cardinals teams ever to play. Bears should have beat them easily but they didn't. I'm also beginning to think that the Bears D is the only thing carrying that team. Their offense is horrible. I'm not sure they can win the big one with an offense that bad.

BTW, Leinart is freakin' incredible for this stage of his career. Unfortunately, Warner is probably done with his NFL career. I think the problem with Kurt Warner is leadership. His teams never seem to believe in him. That was his problem in St. Louis also. I've never seen the Cardinals players that into a game before. Usually they mope back and forth watching teams stomp them but the defense was all over the field and the offense was driving the ball good. I think they are much better than their record indicates.

holy crap what a game, I regret turning it off at the half ...yeow.

The Bears D was non-existent in the first half, if Arizona could actually have taken advantage and thrown the ball down the field they could have put the game out of reach. Don't know if it was the pathetic O-line that zona has or Leinart isn't quite ready to throw it down the field, but that short passing game will be stopped if that's all they got. A great game all the same, and it was quite a show to watch Urlacher play that 4th quarter like he did, that was pure fun to watch.

If they did throw down the field Leinart would have made some mistakes and they would never have taken the lead they did. They are intentionally having him make "safe" passes and letting the recievers make plays.

I agree, but that won't work forever, and I was surprised the Bears let it go as long as they did. Seems like it took Urlacher getting p*ssed for them to get fired up, where was the D coordinator in the 1st half to adjust? Hello, play tight off the line and make them try to beat you deep.

He made adjustments after the first quarter. They didn't score a TD after that. Their field goals all cam after TOs from the 2nd quarter on.

After watching Arizona's last two games, it seems that they get a lead and get comfortable thinking the game is over. They put 17 on KC last week in the first quarter, and could only put up 3 more. Same thing against the Bears. It doesn't seem like Zona can keep their adjustments up with their opponents.
