Need Web host suggestions for personal website

Can those of you that have websites for your card collections (or even small businesses) suggest a good web hosting company? A company called 1and1 has some very nice packages. Any other companies worth checking out?

Thanks!

netfirms has worked well for many of my
    friends and family members.

They give you software that is pretty easy to play with,
and I have not heard any downtime horror stories.

For those thinking of trying their own sales site, a couple
    of things I have found:

You need to have some fairly decent HTML skills, if you want
    to list lots of items.

Shopping cart choices are complex and you need expert
advice b4 you make a decision.

It is at least as hard to drive folks to your own site as it
is to drive folks to your EBAY store.

EBAY is a good place to use to farm for customers, but
you still need to make at least that first sale to a prospect
    on EBAY.

I am having a good site built, and it is expensive to do. I
have been using my own portal to drive customers to
EBAY and receive the 75% FVF credit; this works, but
you still need customers that you meet on EBAY to
    aim at the portal.

I think now is the time to make sure you have a site that
works, so that if/when EBAY becomes even less attractive
to sellers, you will not be out of business.

webstores...auction support..image hosting...and upgrade options that will rock your world..plus personal 1 on 1 support!!!
  • Thanks for the suggestions so far. Not looking to open a store, just a place to host a personal website for a fair price. I do not want ads all over the place and it must offer plenty of space since most of it will be images. (I am running out of space using my free webhosting from my ISP.)

doteasy.com looks good. Can't beat that price.

I use www.globat.com By far the best price/package/performance combination that I could find. Tech support has been fantastic, too.
