Beckett Hockey Card Price Guide Abbreviatons

I have just started to use Beckett Hockey Card Price Guide and am having trouble understanding some of the abbreviations. For example I know that RC stands for, Rookie Card, but what does RC! stand for, also UER. There is not abbreviation list in the price guide, so is there some place online that I could find abbreviations for Beckett.

Thank for your help.

I know they use to have an abbrevations list somewhere. Though it was always hard to find.

  • Being new at this you will have to explain a little more about a Rookie Card that is condition sensitive .

    Thanks

Condition sensitive means that the card is particularly tough to find in nice condition, so there is a premium associated with high-grade examples. You will often see the ! next to the first and last card in older sets because kids used to put elastic bands around their collections, damaging the top and bottom cards in the process.
  • Excellent! That is exactly what I did as a kid collecting.
Would you know were I could get a list of abbreviations for Becketts price guide?

    Thanks

  • If you have a Beckett magazine, the abbreviations should be listed at the beginning of the price guide. If not, you might have to search the Beckett web site.
