Just ordered this little beauty for my collection.

From David Lawrence (DLRC), PCGS MS64. [Pix from DLRC site compressed to fit here]

Not to be a naysayer, but typical DLRC horrible photography (either that or the file compression is wreaking havoc with the pictures). Rims seem beat up and there looks to be a monster hit under the bust. Also looks flat and dull.

I HOPE I'm wrong and that the coin is much nicer in hand, however given my experiences with DLRC, I'm not optimistic. Luckily they have a liberal return policy.

(I don't mean to bag on your coin choice, I just despise DLRC's presentation and hype when it comes to their inventory. They keep a lot of subpar coins for the grade in their sale inventory, yet somehow every single coin they have ever offered in the history of the company has been 4 or 5 stars out of 5... no average coins ever... NOT).

Hopefully that coin will look much better in hand. I just received a coin from them
and I was pleasantly surprised at how much better the coin looked in person.
Anyway, I like your coin. Very original.

Here is the DLRC link. I believe the compression has created the edgy looks you're seeing.

I've bought several coins from DLRC over the years. All have met or exceeded my expectations. Their pix do a pretty good job of showing the details but not the lustre. And eye appeal is so subjective that I only rely on my eye. To me this piece has nice skin and I expect to see a little golden-green hidden in the background color.
