Only one fake. (Or is it two?) Not bad for a beginner.

Interesting. I have no real idea which two but I'm going to guess:

    1. Pine tree shilling
    2. Value me as you please. with the bar cent my third guess.

This is not a collection per se, it is an assemblage of photos we have in our photobank.

The Fugio (a restrike, and thus one of the 'fakes') is now owned by a board member.

The other fake is the Bar Cent,a Bolen copy struck in silver.

The rest are the real McCoy.

    Define "small".

Then define "colonial". (Six of the real pieces are not really colonials.)

Edited to say "make that 9".

Wouldn't it just be easier to speculate which ones are AT? Or guess the grades?

Actually, 9 of the real coins are not really colonials, not six.

Why bother? Isn't that why we have the TPGs?

The reverses on some of those coins are of nicer design than the obverses!

There are fakes, and then there are fakes.

The silver Bar Cent is finer and more attractive than the example which sold for nearly $7,500 in the Ford sale last January. The other is a the Fugio 'Restrike' which is listed in the Redbook and is widely collected as part of the Fugio series.

Its not that easy to find a nice Large one without the wicked die break on the obverse.
