Bust Half Dime Wall Display

What you see is the "Making The Grade" article out of the most recent CoinValues magazine. It's a pretty good little write up on the baby busty's and the grade by grade breakdown with photos is something I don't believe has ever been published for this coin. The whole thing is very cool in my opinion. In a week or so I'll have the frame to put it in for a slightly better look. It's also neat because all of the coins imaged belong to our very own Barndog! The coins grade from AG3-MS64. Anyways, just thought I'd share the newest decoration in my office.

Hey I like that idea, and it probably looks good in person. I've often thought of doing something like that with the 1807 Turban half. Since they are about the toughest to grade in the series. Mainly in low to mid circulated grades. I might have... or I know I have the different grades and the varieties as well. I'm just not a good writer, then people would flame me for my writing and spelling skills. Naw, skip it.image

Yeah, they would knock my scans as well. They love the coveted stman scans, they just won't admit it in public is all. LMAO

kudo's to Barndog! I may have to subscribe to that magazine after all!

A nice resource would be a list of these kind of full-spectrum grading exemplars. Anyone care to add another resource like this one?

Is it true the Photograde book is not a great place to start? Reviews on Amazon are not very favorable.

    Thanks for the post, Cladiator.

The December issue of Coin World's "Coin Values" contains the full-color grading guide and stories about capped bust half dimes. The Coin World staff did a nice job on the issue. I think the magazine sells for five to six bucks and many coin stores or better-stocked book stores will sell it. A few of the coins no longer reside in my collection ... some of the lower graded ones went to Dick Osburn recently as I raised some cash as I improved my collection.

From what I've seen lately, your collection has been a great selection of nice pieces in all grades.
