If the trivia boxes on the backs of the cards are rubbed off, does PSA knock grades down for it? Any help is appreciated.

From what i've seen in mid grade cards - 5-7's, no they don't take off for this.

I have a PSA 8 Maris that has the box rubbed off...I highly doubt that caused it from getting a nine.

I have a 7 in my hand with an unrubbed box;
(corners and centering). And, an 8 with nice
corners and centering, AND a rubbed box.
I am guessing that a card cannot be Mint if the
box is rubbed. When the cards were "Mint," the
box was not rubbed.

If the message is visible, but no depressions (like from a coin edge) appear, no deductions. If depressed, grade will drop one or even two points.
