Canada collectors...I need opinions on a PL set (large file warning)

Is there any coin in this 1955 PL set that's worth sending in for a grade, or should I put the set back in the holder and sell the coins together that way. Some of the coins, notably the dollar and the 25 cents have some cloudiness on them. The dollar has a print under the canoe. The ten cents has something going on with the rim on both sides...at 3:00 on the obverse and 9:00 on the reverse. The cent has a couple small spots and some brown toning on the high spots.

My gut reaction is "don't bother" unless you send to NCS first. I think the dime may get bodybagged regardless...

(I'm also assuming that you'd send them in to be graded just to have, not from any resale potential... grading and/or conservation fees wil almost certainly outweigh any gain you'd see from slabbing).
  • Don't send them in. All the coins are not in high grade.

The coin with the best potential is the silver dollar. CCN Trends has it as C$160 in PL65 no cameo, C$250 in 64PL Cameo, C$425 in 65PL Cameo. The others don't have enough value to make the submission worth it.

BTW, PCGS does not designate 'cameo' for Canadian PL coins. So if you want 'cameo' on the holder, you'll to send them to ICCS or NGC.
