Has anyone heard any news about this upcoming sale. It's being mentioned on Cookes website.
Is it to be similar to the Nicholson/C. Cooke formats?

Well, just Love coins, period.
Collecting:
Conder tokens
19th & 20th Century coins from Great Britain and the Realm
You're right, they haven't sold yet. Lousy buyer's market.
I know I need a few of them, but they will probably be out of my price range......
<< <i>I understand that it will have some of the GREAT RARITIES, as well as being one of the finest in condition......

Do you have any further details as to which great rarities will be offered?
RE: the 1933, I don't know if it is a pattern or circulation strike.... either way it will be exciting......
I know the quality of the coins that he has been buying....
I was told BY the collector of the sale, but I haven't been given leave to release his name, and I'd prefer not to betray that confidence.....
<< <i>I knew of the collector, but not by name till this week....

I understand that there will probably be some coppers... I heard of an UNCIRCULATED 1827 penny involved....
<< <i>I don't have that detail and RBC appears to have more info than me. The 1933 is one of the Lavrillier pieces to my understanding. I would expect a bloodbath that will make the farthings seem civilized by comparison. >>
I would expect that too.... Look what happened at DNW with Laurie Bamford's collection.....
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
<< <i>should be interesting >>
Interesting and potentially quite costly. I would not be surprised to see 7Jaguars prediction of "a bloodbath that will make the farthings seem civilized by comparison" come to pass.
