Help: 1987 Ace Fact Pack Football Cards

Hi there,

Does anyone know anything about these cards? From my various Google searches, this is what I have been able to discern:

- they were printed in Germany for distribution in the UK
- they were distributed in team sets only (e.g. if you want the Joe Montana card, you had to buy the 49ers team set)

Does anyone know anything further? In particular:

1. Does anyone have the description from the Tuff Stuff catalog?
2. Anyone know just how scarce they are?
3. Were they truly only distributed in the UK?
4. Were these cards truly only available in team sets?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I believe they're typically referred to as Ace Fact Pack. I have a Marino in my master set - feel free to check it out. They are very expensive - the 49ers team set is around $500 but many people overcharge for the cards (in my opinion). I paid around $200 for my Dolphins team set. They were available in team sets only and came in a plastic case attached to a cardboard backign. There are around 20 players and another 10 or 15 cards with various facts and pictures of the stadium. From what I understand, they were only issued in the UK.

As for scarcity, they're fairly tough to find...but not impossible. I've found other UK issues to be tougher such as the 2 variations of the Monty Gum card/sticker.
