    The first twelve ideas that came to mind belong in the OF, so I'll go with:

    1964 Peace dollar. 300,000 were minted in Denver; later destroyed. Still waiting to see one.

    1964 Franklin half. Dies were made in 1963. Most likely destroyed. Must have been a few trial pieces made.

    A term applied to coins struck at the whim of Mint officials. Examples include the 1868 large cent Type of 1857 and the various 1865 Motto and 1866 No Motto coins.
