Crossing BVG to PSA?

Well not quite crossing, but cracking and submitting for the same grade. Have any of you guys tried it, and had any luck? There's a BVG 9 '73 Topps Shell on eBay that I might be interested in buying if it stood a better than 50/50 shot at a PSA 9. What do ya'll think?

good luck - i wouldn't crack it. I had a BVG Aaron card from 1957 that i brought to GAI at a card show for pre-grading. They returned it to me as TRIMMED. My opinion is watch out for BVG cards...

Cracked out a BVG 2 T206 Crawford. Came back PSA 5 (mc).

The only BVD slab I bought was a 1980 Bradshaw graded 9 . I cracked it to send in to psa but after I looked at it some more I found a strange "growth" on Terry's face. It of course was a surface bubble/wrinkle. That was the last BVD I bought

I had 3 cards I submitted for pregrading to BVG at a recent show and 2 I know were trimmed. Guess what? They both came back as trimmed and the 3rd card got a 5.5....not happy. So go figure. Chaz

59 fleer ted williams was an 8.5 came back trimmed, although I believe it was sheet cut. It is a hair bigger than the others
